CholScore provides tools designed to help users record, understand and reflect on information relating to food, saturated fat, movement, exercise, blood test results and personal progress.
CholScore may provide scores, targets, trends, achievements, observations and other information based on data entered by the user or, where permission has been granted, obtained from compatible services such as Apple Health.
These features are intended to support personal awareness and healthier habits.
2. CholScore is not medical advice
CholScore is a health and wellness tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or professional medical advice.
A CholScore, saturated-fat figure, activity result, achievement, trend or other information shown by CholScore should not be interpreted as a medical assessment of your health or cholesterol levels.
My Results explains the blood test numbers you enter or scan in general terms. These explanations are general information only. They are not a diagnosis or a medical interpretation of your results, and they cannot tell you whether you need treatment. Always discuss your results with your GP or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
CholScore cannot determine whether you have high cholesterol or any other medical condition.
You should not disregard professional medical advice, delay seeking medical advice, stop prescribed treatment or change medication because of information provided by CholScore or this website.
If you have questions or concerns about your cholesterol, diet, exercise or health, seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
3. Information on this website
We aim to make information on CholScore.com useful, clear and accurate.
Health, nutrition, technology and third-party information can change over time, however, and we cannot guarantee that every piece of information on the website will always be complete, current or suitable for your individual circumstances.
Content on the website is provided for general informational purposes.
4. The CholScore app
The CholScore application is distributed through Apple's App Store.
Downloading and using the application may therefore also be subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms and the end-user licence agreement applying to CholScore.
Where Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, it governs the licence under which the application is used.
These website Terms do not replace any rights or obligations that apply under the relevant App Store terms or applicable law.
5. CholScore+
CholScore's features are provided through a subscription, CholScore+, available monthly or yearly.
New subscribers can start with a 2-week free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it automatically becomes the monthly or yearly subscription you chose, and you will be charged through your Apple Account. If you cancel during the trial, you won't be charged.
Your data is stored on your device and is not deleted when a trial or subscription ends.
Where CholScore+ subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store, payment, billing, renewal and subscription management are handled through Apple's systems and are also subject to Apple's applicable terms.
The price and subscription options displayed by the App Store at the time of purchase are the applicable purchase information.
Availability, features and pricing may change over time.
Users can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions at any time through their Apple Account settings.
Nothing on CholScore.com should be interpreted as overriding Apple's purchase, cancellation or refund processes.
6. Apple Health and third-party services
Certain CholScore features may interact with Apple Health or other third-party services where supported and where the user has granted the necessary permissions.
The availability and accuracy of information obtained from a third-party service can depend on that service, the user's device, permissions, connected hardware and the information recorded by those systems.
CholScore does not control Apple Health or other independent third-party services and cannot guarantee their continued availability or accuracy.
Apple Health access remains subject to Apple's systems and the permissions selected by the user.
7. Food information and scanned results
Some food and nutritional information used by CholScore may originate from third-party databases or information supplied by users or food manufacturers.
Although CholScore aims to present this information accurately, nutritional information can contain errors, become outdated or differ between product formulations and regions.
Users should check the manufacturer's current packaging where accurate nutritional or allergen information is important.
When you scan a blood test letter, the numbers are read automatically from the image and may occasionally be misread. Always check each number against your letter before saving it, and correct any that are wrong.
CholScore should not be relied upon as the sole source of allergen or food-safety information.
8. Exercise and physical activity
Exercise and movement features are provided for personal tracking and informational purposes.
Users are responsible for choosing activities appropriate to their own circumstances and abilities.
CholScore does not provide personalised medical clearance for exercise.
If you have concerns about whether a particular activity is appropriate for you, seek appropriate professional advice.
9. Scores, targets and achievements
CholScore scores, CholPoints, targets, streaks, achievements and rewards are features of the CholScore experience.
They are intended to encourage awareness, consistency and positive habits.
They are not clinical measurements and should not be interpreted as guarantees of a particular health outcome.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, CholPoints and in-app achievements have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
10. Your data
How personal information is handled is explained separately in the CholScore Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy forms an important part of understanding how CholScore works and should be read alongside these Terms.
CholScore is designed with user privacy in mind. However, specific privacy and data-handling practices are governed by the current Privacy Policy rather than marketing descriptions on this website.
11. Backups and loss of data
Where CholScore provides backup, export or restoration functionality, users remain responsible for maintaining appropriate copies of information they consider important.
Although reasonable care is taken when developing these features, no digital storage or backup system can be guaranteed to be completely immune from data loss, device failure or corruption.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Intellectual property
The CholScore name, branding, heart/leaf/ECG mark, interface design, artwork, graphics, written content and other original CholScore materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Unless expressly permitted, CholScore materials may not be reproduced, redistributed, sold, modified or used to create another product or service without permission.
Normal sharing of links to CholScore.com and use of sharing functionality intentionally provided within CholScore is permitted.
Third-party names, trademarks and services remain the property of their respective owners.

You may use CholScore.com for lawful personal purposes.
You must not deliberately interfere with the operation or security of the website, attempt to obtain unauthorised access to its systems, use automated methods to place unreasonable demands on the service, or use CholScore materials in a way that infringes the rights of CholScore or another party.

We aim to keep CholScore.com available and working properly, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

Features shown as Coming Soon describe functionality that is genuinely under development or testing but is not yet part of the publicly released version of CholScore.
Coming Soon features may change before release, and displaying them does not constitute a promise that they will be released on a particular date.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales, without depriving consumers of any mandatory protections they may have under the laws applying where they live.
